Cost of college went up for all students at California College of the Arts

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at California College of the Arts, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $49,138 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,872 more than the $47,266 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 215 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.1 million and 137 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,805), 1,096 students used grants or scholarships totaling $23.9 million, and 720 students took out $5.8 million in federal student loans.
