88 percent of applicants to California College of the Arts were admitted for fall 2018

At California College of the Arts, 85 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in San Francisco enrolled 1,805 students in fall 2018, including 1,468 in undergraduate and 337 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

34 percent of undergraduates are residents of California, and 25 percent are residents of other states. 35 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (20 percent) and Asian (15 percent).

The school admitted 88 percent of the 2,292 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 13 percent enrolled.
