Of the 16,256 people living in East San Gabriel CDP in 2019, 50.6 percent (8,228) were women and 49.4 percent (8,028) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Oakland City Wire.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 5,042-to-4,952. In the 65 and over age range, there were 1,467 females and 1,254 males.
