Census Bureau: More women than men in Los Angeles city in 2019

Of the 3,966,936 people living in Los Angeles city in 2019, 50.5 percent (2,001,952) were women and 49.5 percent (1,964,984) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Oakland City Wire.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 1,339,787-to-1,314,135. In the 65 and over age range, there were 283,334 females and 208,264 males.
