How much was donated from Alameda County organizations to the Black Lives Matter movement?

By March 22, nine organizations registered within Alameda County had donated to the Black Lives Matter movement, according to the BLM Funding Database.

$34,747,500 was donated or pledged by these companies between 2020 and the present date.

Kaiser Permanente pledged the highest donation among area organizations and businesses, claiming to commit $26,002,500 to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Of the nine organizations which pledged to donate to Black Lives Matter in recent years, six of them were confirmed to have fulfilled their pledge and actually donated the amount of money they said they would. It's unclear or unknown if the other organizations followed through with their pledges.

Kaiser Permanente$26,002,500In June 2020, Kaiser announced a $25M commitment to promote health equity that includes $8.75M in grants to "grassroots and nonprofit organizations addressing structural racism and practices that prevent communities of color from achieving good health and well-being." Kaiser has donated to dozens of non-profits addressing systemic racism. In November of 2020, Kaiser donated $1M to the Bernard J. Tyson Impact Fund. In 2022, it donated $2.5k to Chinese for Affirmative Action.
Common Counsel Foundation$2,604,500Fiscal sponsor of the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL). $104,500 in funding to known M4BL members included in the database; other grants to BLM related causes and bail funds are not as of yet included. The Common Counsel Foundation has uploaded Form 990s with redacted Schedule I's, making the tracking of grants impossible for some years. The Satterberg Foundation reported a 2020 contribution of $2,500,000 to M4BL via the Common Counsel Foundation. Total includes public and private donations.
The Clorox Company$2,500,000Initial donation of $2.5M to "support Black businesses and their communities impacted by recent events," "engage Black youth who represent our future," and "accerlate Black community accesss to justice and criminal justice reform." Organizations donated to remain undisclosed.
Solidaire Network$1,915,500The Solidaire Network frequently collaborates with the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL). It's current executive director is Rajasvini Bhansali, who formerly worked to advance the BLM Global Network. In the eight years prior to joining the Solidaire Network, Bhansali was the executive director of Thousand Currents, fiscal sponsor of the BLM Global Network Foundation. Included here are $20,000 and $50,000 contributions to BLM DC and BLM Pheonix Metro, respectively, and other contributions to known members of M4BL. Other contributions to BLM-related causes are not as of yet included.

Ross Stores, Inc.$500,000$500K donated across the NAACP, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and BGCA.
