Census Bureau: More women than men in Alameda County in 2020

Of the 1,661,584 people living in Alameda County in 2020, 50.8 percent (844,443) were women and 49.2 percent (817,141) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Oakland City Wire.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 6,559. In the 65 and over age range, there were 129,770 females and 101,416 males.
